On December 11, 2024 the Indianapolis Community Land Trust held our first annual meeting where nominated members to the board spoke about themselves and their visions for the organization. We began our election of the first board of directors.

On July 31, 2024, over 50 residents from across Indianapolis came together in person and over Zoom to celebrate the launch of the Indianapolis Community Land Trust (Indy CLT). This exciting event marked a new chapter in community-led affordable housing and land stewardship in our city. Over 80 passionate individuals stepped forward as founding members, committing to play a leading role in shaping the future of Indy CLT and building a resilient, equitable housing solution for generations to come. On August 27 Indy CLT hosted a Ground Lease Orientation. This information session digs into the rights and responsibilities of Community Land Trust Homeowners and explains the Ground lease and other policies of the Indianapolis Community Land Trust.

On August 29 the Indianapolis Community Land Trust held an info session on how discount sales and property donations and tax benefits work and many different estate planning options to help leave a legacy of permanently affordable housing. Training was led by Jeff Washburne of Burlington Associates. Jeff served as the executive director of City of Lake Community Land Trust for 20 years. Indy CLT's attorneys also answered tax, estate and other legal questions.

On October 30, 2024 we drew 4 participants and 1 alternative to proceed with the Indianapolis Community Land Trust pilot program for Fall 2024 - Spring 2025.
